Emily Damon, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Emily is a speech language pathologist with 12 years of experience working in pediatric clinics and 7 years working for early intervention. She received her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY New Paltz in Communication Disorders and her Master’s Degree from CUNY Hunter College in Communication Sciences.  Emily is a child-led, play-based therapist who loves working with children and families to provide the most productive, individualized therapy possible. She believes collaborating with the family and a team of professionals is the best way to create the most effective therapy plan for each child. Some of her areas of interest include: Childhood Apraxia of Speech, early intervention, fluency, articulation/phonology, receptive/expressive language disorders, and autism spectrum disorders using a neurodiversity affirming approach.  She is trained in PROMPT, DTTC, SCERTS, Lidcombe, and Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) for gestalt language processors, and is on the SLP directories for apraxia-kids.org, meaningfulspeech.com, and communicationdevelopmentcenter.com.

Emily enjoys making speech therapy enjoyable for both children and their families, and becoming a trusted, supportive person in each of her clients' lives.
