Welcome to our practice! I’m thrilled you are interested in our services and I hope we can be of help to you. As the mother of two with experience parenting a child with learning differences, I fully understand the stressors and joys that can come with being a parent. Professionally, I’m a dually certified speech-language pathologist and board certified behavior analyst. I have over 15 years of experience working with children and families, and quality, person-centered care is my passion. I thoroughly enjoy running this practice and working closely with our clinicians to provide the best evidence-based care possible. My journey as a parent has had significant influence on how we run this practice and our practice values. I thoroughly enjoy training and educating our staff, families, and caregivers. I’ve spent the last five years focusing on consultation, expert witness work, presenting at national conferences, and publishing several works related to language and communication disorders. I also host a podcast related to disseminating research to other speech-language pathologists and special educators. I am all too familiar with balancing professional needs with the needs of my family. Clinically I specialize in augmentative alternative communication, complex communication disorders, and language development. My largest professional goal is for this practice contributes meaningfully to this community. For more information about me you can download my resume or read more about my professional experience and publications.

“Grandbois Theraphy and Consulting was recommended to us for SLP Services from the Lurie Center. We love working with Abby! She has revamped our son’s iTouch app on his iPad and makes herself available for us with any questions and has even made herself available to his day program. We highly recommend!”
Garret Alyea
“Abby Cummings was amazing with our 11 year-old boy. She was flexible and found ways to connect with him and his interests, overcoming his reluctance to talk. With him engaged, she did a wonderful job working on the sounds he needed to learn and practice. Highly Recommend!”
Ashely Balaconis
“Abby has grown to be a part of our son’s little village. She is kind, compassionate, thoughtful, and incredibly talented at what she does and how she engages with him. She is transparent and honest which is so necessary when working with children and their development… The Boston area is so lucky to have her!”
